First, measure out the dulce de leche buttercream frosting ingredients with the measuring cup and spoons.
Next, prepare a stand mixer with a whisk attachment and a large mixing bowl.
Drop the room temp butter into the large mixer bowl.
Beat the butter by itself for about 5 minutes or until it has doubled in size.
Then, scoop the dulce de leche into the butter.
Beat the ingredients together until they’re completely mixed.
Next, add in the powdered sugar.
Beat the frosting ingredients together one more time on high for 8-10 minutes.
Next, prepare a piping bag with a jumbo piping tip.
Finally, scoop the dulce de leche frosting into the piping bag and close it off with a piping bag tie. Now you’re ready to decorate!

Storing Dulce de Leche FrostingTo store dulce de leche frosting: first, transfer the frosting to an airtight container or a freezer-safe Ziploc bag. Store the frosting in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. If freezing, I like to double-bag the frosting because it helps save some space. Label the date on the outside to keep up with freshness. Remember to bring the frosting to room temperature and whip it again before using.
